You are invited to a special Barn Quilt Event

There is a new book fresh off the presses featuring the barn quilt trails of Longwoods, Wardsville, and the Native Women’s Trail of Tears. Come meet the author, buy her book, tour the Trail of Tears Barn Quilt Trail on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, and experience a very special cultural event.

Come out to meet the women quilters from the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Lenape Nations who created the beautiful quilt images reproduced on 8’ x 8’ painted blocks throughout our communities.

Hear from author, teacher and lecturer Suzi Parron about her journey along the barn quilt trails in Canada and the United States and her impressions of the only First Nation barn quilt trail in Canada, our own “Native Women’s Trail of Tears”. The Longwoods and Wardsville Barn Quilt Trails are also featured in this new book that is hot off the press.

Join us for a guided bus tour of the barn quilt blocks on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
